The power supply on a friends computer died and he wants me to pull the data from the HD. His HD is connected with a 40-pin cable. The cables in my computer are 34-pin. Is there a cable or adapter I can buy to connect his HD to my PC?

Thanks in advance.

OK, so I found that my hard drive is connected with a 68-pin cable. I'm guessing the 34-pin cable is for a floppy drive, which I don't have....Same problem though. Can I go from a 68-pin scsi connection to a 40-pin ide HD?
