ok i have a serious problem with my sound balster card it sais that the harware is there but i get no sounds and i get sound related error pop-ups, i cant install driver updates patches or anything because it sais i need to install it first. but is is installed, it has been for the last four years. whats wrong with this, i cant be the onlyone whos had this problem. i would like to here the sounds from my battlefrild 1942 game again. please help!!

remove all drivers for the sound

shut down, open case , remove sound card.

boot up one time without the card.

shut down, reinstall the card , boot up and windows should find and install.

the drivers are in xp.

should fix it
