Welcome to TSF.

How old is the computer?
Please post the system specifications - processor, video card, power supply etc.
If you have a brand computer (HP, Dell etc) it's enough to post the model name/number.

The drive itself may be starting to fail. You should run the hard drive diagnostic tools first to see if any failure. If it is not failing, then you need to reinstall the operating system with the discs.

You have to find out what hard drive you have first.
Start the computer and enter BIOS (usually by tapping the Del or F2 key).
The drives are listed in BIOS - your HDD will be named something like ST12345XYZ.

Post back with that code, and we'll find the tools for you.
