Hi,
I've got a seagate 4.3M HD and I'm not sure if it is good. I am testing it on a computer that is running win NT. It will show the boot up screen then I get a message that says Alert! Cover was previously removed Strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for setup so I hit f1, but it just repeats the statement. Is there somthing wrong with the HD?

Probably not as it attempts to start - do you know what's on the drive? And I assume you mean a 4.3Gig drive, yes? If you want to use it in a situation where you need reliability then you would be better getting a new (or near new) drive. Any drive under 20 gig nowadays is going to be old and very suspect.

Might want to try downloading the Seatools utility from the drive manufacturer's website and testing the drive with their utility. You will find it in this group of drive utilities:
