I'm not sure how this happened, but two of my three hard drives on my Win2000 computer are locked. I'm sure of this because both the Western Digital Data Lifeguard diagnostics tells me so, and a hard drive password program (ATAPWD) confirms(locked at security level H). Although the Bios recognizes the hard drives, there is no access to them, and the many testing and recovery programs I've tried either give a "read error" for every cylinder on the hard drives, or some other error message with the same result.
Has anyone had any luck unlocking their hard drive? I'd like to hear any and all suggestions.
Much thanks,
John
