My 100 Gb hard drive just disappeared when I went on today. Last night I shutted off the computer because I had to conserve the power because of the blackout. So, today I went on and Norton Anti-Virus box popped up that there's a missing file, I unistalled it, rebooted it so I can reinstall it, and I saw my BIO that haven't detected my 2nd hard drive. I went on and checked under "My computer." I can't even find my D: Drive but thankfully, C: Drive still works. I haven't even modified the D Drive but I have played a couple games from the 2nd HD and deleted a spyware component I no longer needed. I hope you guys have been in this kind of situation to provide instructions to fix this weird problem.

Thanks

First, eliminate all the obvious reasons. Check to make sure the connections to the drive are tight, and make sure it's spinning when you apply power. You can touch a screwdriver to the frame of the drive and hold it touching in front of your ear, if the drive's spinning, you will hear it.

Next, boot and see if the BIOS sees the drive during the initialization.

The drive could have simply died, but do these simple checks first.
