Yes, I emptied my recycle bin.

When I click the properties of my D drive, it says "Used Space: 28.4GB"

but when i go to my D drive and select all my folders and click properties..
its says the folders only 27Gb...

Where did the 1.4GB go?

I believe that's normal. It might be an approximate size as well.

Hello.

It's likely that it's being used by VSS or the page file. You can use TreeSize to find out the truth: TreeSize Free - Quickly Scan Directory Sizes and Find Space Hogs
I tried TreeSize.
and for my C drive and D drive...the amount of space used is different.

for my C drive, TreeSize says im using 22.5GB
while windows reads used space as 19.3GB

and for my D drive, Treesize reads 27.5GB
while windows reads used space as 28.4GB

Is this normal?

Also can i delete that $RECYCLE.BIN thing? thats in my d drive?
what is that?

It could be page filing, or possibly hidden files your not selecting ( ensure that you have hidden items as well as system items visible ).
yup,
i checked "show hidden folders" or w/e in the folder options.
but there was only a 90kb file that was hidden.

i also posted the treesize photos...and they're still pretty different..
i dont get how it can be such a big difference in numbers.
i expected, it would be like 0.1~0.5GB difference..
but this is like more than 1GB difference...
i dont get why =_=?

Is your OS installed on that drive? It could be the space the OS is occupying.

You could also check to see if the disk is fragmented. Fragmentation could lead to disk space being occupied by nothing at all ( but thinks there is something there ).
Yup,
my OS is installed in my C drive.

and i checked disk defragmenter.
analyzed all my disks..
it says C drive=3% fragmented.
and D and E drive are both 0% fragmented...
so im pretty sure it isnt that.
