hard drive migration

i currently run a XPS210 with windows 7 32, i am thinking about building a gaming rig (bare bones kit with high(er) end video card). My question is can i use the hard drive and memory from my current rig without to much hassle? Or, am i better off buying a new HD and OS?

You can reuse the Hdd but the OS is tied to the Mobo so you will have to acquire a new copy of the OS you want to use.
Your PC uses DDR2 RAM so you would have to use a Mobo that accepts DDR2.
I have the upgrade disks for win. 7. Will that do? Or am i having to buy a whole new OS? I'm thinking of going with win 7 64 anyway so it's not a big deal. It's just that my life is on this HDD and would hate to have to reinstall everything onto a new one.
You can install from an retail upgrade disc. Save all important data before you migrate the hdd to the new PC.
