Same problem

I have the same problem.

The drive is about 3 weeks old, a Samsung Spinpoint P120 SATA drive. I had problems when installing it, but after upgrading the PSU to a 500W, it went away, until this week when it started acting up again. Now it shows up in the BIOS and the SATA load, but not in device manager or W. Explorer.

Athlon XP +2000
Epox 8KRA2+
512MB DDR
ATI AIW 9800 SE
Lite-On DVD RW
Western Digital EIDE 120GB
Seagate Barracuda SATA 200GB
Samsung Spinpoint (problem drive) SATA 250GB

Any ideas anyone?

Right click on My Computer, Manage, Disk Management. See if it shows up there, and tell us what it indicates.
