1st you need to backup everything you need from this drive. Sounds like it is going out. Download the diagnostic program from the manufacture of this hard drive. It should give you a better idea what the problem is.

Hello,i wonder if anyone can help me with this problem i am having,
We had a power cut the other day and my pc went off,when i tried to restart it i got error at start up telling me to insert start up disk.
I turned off my pc using the power switch on the power supply and the pc started up ok,now sometime through the night the pc went off again and the same thing happened again only this time the hdd drive was clicking so i tapped it and restarted my pc and away it went but still getting the clicking noise.
Can anyone help please?

if the diagnostics utility dont find any errors. try a spare power supply on your system and see if its a powe issue. good luck
