Hey,

After buying the game 2 days ago from the local shop and finaly got to install it it appears that the lag spikes are unbearable for my nerves atleast.

It's basically constant lag spikes all the time, It doesn't matter that do I just drive around or run...

Specs:

AMD Phenom X4 970 Black Edition @4,0GHz
Ati radeon HD 6870 1gb gddr5
4gb ram
890GX Extreme3 mobo
corsair 550w psu

Have you installed all the patches? The last one fixes some problems with lag, giving much better framerates at higher settings.

Are your device drivers up to date?

Have you tried the benchmark test in the options menu, and have you tried reducing some of the graphics settings? Shadows and draw distance can cause lag if set too high.

Hey mate, Welcome to TSF,

Your Power Supply is not up to handling the Hardware I suspect, a good 650W is needed minimum.

I would suggest getting a new PSU before the 550w blows and maybe takes some other hardware with it (plus, it may be the direct cause of this issue).
