Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone had a solution to my problem. I have an eMac, and someone I know has one too. However, I have noticed that his display is much more vibrant and much brighter than mine. I'm not sure if this is a serious CRT issue, or is just do to something silly. A person on Mac-Forums said to discharge the CRT because it could have built up a magnetic sheild. Anyway, some description. This problem happens no matter what. Sometimes it's more noticable than others. Around the left side in sort of a half circle, there's the discoloration on the screen of green. This can also be seen at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, except it is a dot, not a half circle. In addition to this green color, it is noticeably darker then other eMac moniters I've seen. Thanks in advance to all who reply.

Are you near any speakers? Magnetic fields can do that to CRTS. If the eMac has ever been open, it may of not been put back together right, and some shielding could be out of place that protects the CRT from other interferences. We once had a TV that if it was on for too long, or and a mostly white image on the screen would start turning green in the lower left corner. At it's age, it could be going out as well. Read this thread. It seems to have some good pointers and ideas relating to colored eMac screens.
