Graphics and Wireless adapter problem

Hello,
I have recently just bought a "D-Link Xtreme N Desktop Adapter" to replace my old USB D-Link adapter. Got it from newegg and I put it in my computer, it locked in, and I had to take my graphics card (ati radeon visiontek HD 3870 512MB) out in order to put the network card in due to some very tight space issues. After putting both components back in I turned on my computer and installed the software for the DLink network card.

Now whenever I load the Connection Wizard for the Dlink, it opens for a split second and closes automatically, I've tried everything, opening it from different file locations, restarting my computer, reinstalling the software TWICE, and even took the component out and put it right back in to attempt to fix anything.

Also, both components now wiggle if I touch them and when I try to move an icon or make a big blue selection box (because I cannot play any FPS games without internet) the movement is VERY choppy, I mean, it's very sluggish and is not as smooth as it is supposed to be.

This was my first time trying to install anything on my computer (because we don't have the money to pay someone to put it in right now) and I am 100% certain I did everything correct. Yes, I did put the network card into the PCI Slot, the big white one.

Specs:
Windows vista ultimate 32 bit
AMD Dual Core Processor
650W BFG Power supply
4 GB ddr2 RAM
Ati radeon HD 3870 graphics card

Is your wireless router also "N" ? The adapter should be the same (N or G) as the wireless router for best performance.
Did you get good performance before you installed the card?
Yes, indeed I used the Rangebooster (something like that, regular USB one) Dlink adapter for over a year and had NO LAG problems until it got to the end of its lifespan. It started to fall apart so I decided to get the wireless network card.

It is Wireless N
