Sounds like the original GPO disabled use of USB devices and he copied a GPO that had USB enabled, but he still can't use USB. Perhaps using GPUPDATE /force from the workstation would help if the policy was applied correctly. I'd likely run rsop.msc from the command line on the client machine in question to see what policies are in affect on that machine.

Is your computer joined to a domain? Is the domain controller available? I'd try removing it from the domain and then rejoining the domain to see if it resolves the issue. What's the server OS?

Make sure timezone is the same on the client and the server. Do you have a firewall running on your workstation?

Go to your system properties on the workstation and take a screen shot and post it. Something doesn't seem right if you've joined the domain and you still can't get access to a computer on the domain. Are you simply trying to connect to it to view shared items?

I have had this happen before on a number of instances. It happens because the GPO is not reset on the PC even after update or removal from domain. The easiest way to fix is to remove from domain and run a 'reset to default tool/script' then re-join domain. There are many utils available. A simple search will yield many links. Try here.

Also, whats wrong with writing a proper description of the problem, you want help but can't even be bothered to describe it properly. 2 mish-mashed sentences, seriously? But for Djaburg's interpretation I'd be lost with your post.

Fortunately I've been doing IT long enough that I've learned to read between the jibberish to see what the question could be. Kinda like seeing a reply like

with a crying image. Does that mean it helped or didn't. It IS a useful tool to see which GPO's are being applied to a given workstation. But I guess that is perhaps too deep or complex.
