Hi
just noticed something on my next door neighbours computer:
I enter a search term on google, e.g. "bbc sport"
initially, the search is regular, but within about a second it redirects to the same page but with weird search results. the first three look like this:

bbc sport :: More info on bbc sport
... Find stuff on bbc sport never found before. The "bbc sport" is ...
Only the best relevent results on virus checker . ...

The first three results on each page are these ones.
The rest of the results are normal.

If I go straight to the web page without using a google search first all works normally.

When I do the exact same search on my home pc all works fine.
I suspect virus/malware/adware

Any ideas??????
Thanks in advance
Craig

Download HiJackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer.
  1. Double-click on the file you just downloaded.
  2. Click on the "Unzip" button to install the newer version.
  3. It will by default install to the directory - C:\Program Files\HiJackThis\
  4. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose - Do a system scan and save a logfile.
  5. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit [Scan] and then click on Save log.
  6. Post the HiJackThis.log file here.
