hi everyone, just a quick post cos this one is puzzling me.

basically, when i power on, the fan starts up for like 1 second, then it shutsdown. ive narrowed it down, and its only when the harddrive is plugged in to the power, with or without ide. the dvd drive does not cause this problem. the harddrive works fine, ive just had it put into another pc to format and put xp on. so whats causing this? a bad psu? is a the current drain that the hdd is pulling to spin up, causing psu to shutdown???

thanks for any help, this one is annoying me!
