Hi

I've got a Windows 2008 Server and want to purchase a good backup software.

Can anyone recommend a good one for me. I want something that is robust, easy to use, can recover files easily, can backup to either external Hard Drive or RDX Cartridge.

Budget- Max £400

Acronis True Image is meant to be a good solution.

+1 for Acronis. Unfortunately, it was about $850 U.S. for a server edition, last time I checked. But I'd also be interested in hearing from others.

Take a look at Symantec Backup Exec, widely used and very stable. Pricing is under your budget but depending on what you need to backup may exceed, but if it is one server then you will be fine. Also easily expandable for future servers
