Hi.

When it comes to support, godaddy is not good. They only help out when there is a prob with their side, instead of the customer's side. This can be so difficult for amateurs to set up any hosting plan with godaddy. I just got off the phone with them and really didn't accomplish anything.

I have Linux hosting and I had a wordpress blog up and running on the main page. I also had a forum up and running.

I called up godaddy to get rid of the main page (which was the wordpress page) and get the forum page as my "front" page. So that when users go to my website they'll see my forum.

I've asked a godaddy tech rep about the steps on how to accomplish this, but he said that he "couldn't tell me". lol :upset:

The only "hint" they gave me was that I had to transfer all my files to my "root" folder which it isn't at the present time. Any ideas and advice for someone who isn't that "advanced" in the hosting world?

Sorry for rambling, but THIS is frustrating. Anyone that could help would be sooooo appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Basically, they want you to move the contents of your /forum directory to the lowest-level directory. The lowest-level directory you can access is your root directory.

You may also need to change the title of the forum page to index.htm.
