My sytem specs: XP2200+, 256DDR PC2700 RAM, Gigabyte GA7VAX Mobo KT400 updated to F10bios, MSI Ti4200 128MB DDR, WINDOWS XP UPDATED TO SP1 and Direct X 9.0a, 15 inch Sony Monitor w/ refresh rate of 100hz. NO OVERCLOCKING done to anything. VIA 4in1s installed

When I first bought this computer I was getting 100fps constant in Counter Strike with no overclocking. But I formatted my computer and now I am not getting that 100fps and satisfaction. The fps dip into the 60's, especially in Aztec maps but this was NOT happening to me before.

I have tweaked (but no overclocked) my ti 4200 by turning OFF V sync, anitrophic filtering, anti aliasing, etc. Still no luck. Someone on another forum suggested it might not be the video card but the bios settings.

I don't want to meddle around with it because sI dont know much about it. My AGP setting is on 4X, but I dont see the AGP APERTARUE size?? It's not there?? I even downgraded to the F9, F4 bios. Still no improvement in Counter Strike.

Counter strike is the ONLY game I have on my comp. Please help

See if you can set the AGP to 8X in the bios.
