Ghosting grey horizontal lines on screen where text appears

Hi I get ghosting grey horizontal lines on the monitor wherever text/pictures appear on a light/white background.

I have tried different monitors that I know are ok on other PC's and they all do the same.

I have tried different VGA cables, updated the driver.

Still the same problem.

What else can I do?

I am not very techy so please help anyone?
