Getting online with a new Dell D600

Hi. I am new here so please bear with me. I just bought a used Dell D600 laptop that did not come with an operating system. I installed Windows XP and everything seems to be working fine, but I can't seem to get on the internet at all. The laptop has built in wireless, which I turned on in the BIOS, but I can't get it to recognize anything. Then I just tried directly plugging in the ethernet cable to the DSL box and it still will not recognize any LAN connection or get online at all. Please help! I am not very tech savvy so please bear with my slowness. Thanks for your help!!!!!

You need to install the proper drivers for it.

Go into the device manager and install drivers for every device that has a yellow exclamation point. Start with the chipset and GPU drivers.
Hi. Thanks for your help. I can't get online with the laptop to download the drivers I need (I'm on a desktop right now). I only had a CD to install XP; I don't have a CD to install the drivers. The drivers are all enabled, but the laptop will not update any of the drivers without a CD or internet connection.
Using the pc you are on now, download the drivers from the Dell support site, burn them to cd or copy to flash drive, and install on the laptop.
