The only difference are the bells and whistles one manufacturer adds to their card as opposed to another. some add tv tuner capabilities others, don't add anything at all. All share the same core chipset that nvidia releases... however some companies overclock the ram and core before selling to the public, it all comes down to features for the most part

I have a PNY GEFORCE 3 and it has heatsinks every where thats a good thing. And my friend has a VISIONTEK GEFORCE 3 and it only
as a heatsink around the fan. it only has one heatsink on his,
and mine 3 to 4 heatsinks to help keep it cool. So if I was you
I would go with a PNY CARD or a ASUS CARD trust me. Now I know
why visiontek cards run hot...
