hi,
recently my 3 year old Pentium III Packard Bell exploded, so it was about time for a new one.
I bought a motherboard bundle consisting of:
GeForce 8100VM-M5 hybrid sli motherboard
AMD phenom x4 9500 quad-core processor
2gb ddr2 800mhz
570w psu

ok, chucked it all together, installed windows xp, job dun. But now my games run really slow, like slower than my daughters old laptop.

I've instaled all drivers that come with it, and had a play with the settings but no good.

Does anybody now how to speed it up abit, or have i wasted my money on a load of rubbish.

I think the problem is the integrated video it is really not made for gaming.
Give us a screen shot of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory and SPD tabs of CPUz.

Lol I didn't catch that. He probably ment pentium 4.

I'd pin the blame on that 8100 as well. Good for 2D and basic 3D but not much for real gaming.

Yeah sorry it was a pentium4, the one i had previously was a pentium3 but i'd say even that was quicker than this new one. I'm running pretty old games as well, none of your cod5's it's more like jedi knights2 and gun.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary there I think your main problem is the video just isn't up to 3d as well as a discrete card would be.
Does it seem ok surfing the web and in office type apps?

yeah, it seems fine running anything other than games, I'll prob put a new graphics card in, do u that will speed it up?

Yes I think the 8100 is just loading the cpu up, a 9500GT would probably do fine for what your doing.
