GeFORCE 4 jerkiness on Battlefeild 1942

I just upgraded from a GeFORCE 2 to a MX GeFORCE 4 64MB and was hoping for an improvement but have failed to see much of one. I know it was not much of an upgrade but the price was right. What is the big difference anyhow? The main reason I bought it was to correct the jerkiness in Medal of Honor Spearhead and Battlefield 1942. Both of these games I suspect use the same engine and are by EA. Are these games extremely taxing for any system or is ther something I can do. I have an Athelon XP1800 and 512 DDR. Everything such as antivirus is shut off but still the game still jerks around durring the intense battles. All help apreciated.

Is it a PCI card or a AGP card

It is an AGP card. I have read on gaming forums that the games mentioned are difficult games for any system. Does anyone know what the difference is betweem the GeForce 2 and the Ge Force 4?

I bought a geforce 2mx pci card, and it was slow as dirt. Then I read about the MX versions there clocked down there budget cards. I got alot more speed with my 3DFX VooDoo 3 pci card, The worst thing I ever did was bought that [email protected] slow MX card. Try changing the settings on the game, the game won't look as good but it should run faster.........
