Gateway micro card drives dead

Hey Help! I have a laptop which reads SD cards; I took 3 good cards and inserted each one in my Gateway desktop computer (only 3 years old) Windows 7; it did not open or detect any of 3 micro cards. Now one of the 3 cards was a NEW Micro CARD. Did not see it or ask to format it.
I have noticed that the micro drives are NOT listed in my device drivers list. Anyone out there that can help me, please help me?

I even took my computer apart to check connections and the card drives are connected properly.

Check device manager to make sure all your drivers are installed without problems.

Are the cards detected in disk management?

Try the cards on another PC.

In device manager it just shows 2 disk drives plus my 3 hard discs. I have installed the drivers twice. No the cards are not detected in disk management. Nothing shows up as a problem in my device manager and I tried the card drive in another computer and it works, so I know the card drive is good.
