Hi everyone, i recently bought a PC from NewEgg (an ROG G20AJ) and since purchase I have been having SERIOUS problems with it.

A complete list of my system information should be inside the "sysinfo" file. If you guys need anything more I can get it.

OS: Windows 8.1
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 760
Overclocked: Never
Monitor: Mini HDTV connected with HDMI cable

Here's the problem...
When I start a game I am fine navigating the menus and settings and such, but the second I go to actually play a game, my PC crashes and selects a seemingly random color to display (I've gotten black, blue, brown and even pink!) and after its frozen, its stuck how it is and I can't do anything but restart the PC, sometimes I can still hear sound while its frozen.

I won't even be running the game at max resolution either, I was trying to play H1Z1 on the lowest settings, smallest resolution and in windowed mode and still my entire screen went black. (Sometimes, right at the moment when the screen goes black I can press Alt-tab and it will return to the desktop and it will be ok, but If I go back into the minimized game I will get stuck in the screen).

And the funny part is, sometimes I can play these games perfectly fine, sometimes even maxed out (because the PC is OVERLY qualified to handle these games) but sometimes it just wont work.

When I first got the PC I updated the BIOS, but this program VurtuWatt kept saying "GPU not properly configured, vurtuwatt shutting down" or something like that, so I reinstalled the default BIOS from the ASUS site and that program works now but my problem still persists.

:banghead: This is driving me mad, I have a Let's Play channel on YouTube and I can't quite do that if I can't even play.

Please help, any information you need I can get it.

From reading reviews on new egg I have found that other users are having the same problems as you. If under warranty can be repaired or speak to asus. As other users are having problems aslo to try updating windows 8.1 latest updates. drivers etc for graphics etc.

Code:
Temperature 0 107°C (224°F) [0x6B] (SYSTIN)
Something on your System is hitting 107c. If its not a miss-calibrated sensor then it could indicate a problem.
Download Speccy from my sig, it will actually put proper names next to the sensors for better diagnosis.

Could you also please provide information on your PSU. If your system is crashing on the lightest of loads there are only a few causes.

1) Faulty Hardware
2) Corrupt drivers
3) Improper PSU

119F for the CPU is about average for the stock cooler on idle, if it reaches around +180F i'd look to see if the heatsink is properly connected.

I would for the time been, powerdown the PC and check that all the fans in the case are plugged into either the motherboard via the fan headers (3-4pin connectors) or are directly plugged into the PSU power by the 4pin molex connector.

The motherboard sensor could be faulting. As nothing else is even close to that temperature. I also have a sensor on my motherboard that will report at -20c then at 115c, depending on what program is use to monitor the temperatures.

That's the issue, I actually cant get into the case. And even if I could, I wouldn't be able to make it to all that stuff. The ROG G20AJ is a compact PC the size of a console, the power supply is on the outside and opening the case voids the warranty.

Then i'd take it to a PC store that can legally open the case without voiding the warranty. If you get in-contact with newegg's help department they should have select stores in which you can make warranty claims or inspections. If not it means you'll have to ship it back to them for a replacement/repair.
