Could some please tell me where i need to look to switch the voltage for my CPU?

Essentially i have an AMD Athlon 3000+ Venice that overheats very quickly. It hits the 65 deg c max temp and the motherboard resets the PC.

I have the above motherboard and im guessing the default voltage is 5 and the correct one should be 1.4 for the CPU?

Is this correct and if so how do i make the adjustment before considering buying a new CPU cooler.

Navigate to this web site where you will find the manual for your motherboard. Then go to page 41 and make sure your settings are efficient & right.
