I just got a g-force 4 mx 440. It worked ok for awhile, but now, it will randomly restart my computer on me. Usually when im playing games and so forth. I looked online about this, and i noticed that some people have the same problems. But I didnt get any help from them. does anyone know what to do to fix this error. Some claim it to be a bios problem.

Like I said before, all it would do is crash my system and restart it randomly in the game ?? anything suggestions would help me alot.

my system is:
amd athlon xp 2000
100gb hdd
MSI KT3 Ultra 2
512 ram

help

Does anyone have any ideas to fix this?
I'm no expert but it sounds to me like your computer is running too hot.
Try installing some better fans ,Blower at the back and an exhaust fan at the front I think.
Have you checked the power supply. If you have a 300 Watt Power Supply, I would upgrade to a beefy 400 Watt with dual fans. You may want to check your power supply with a voltmeter.
I have a 420 watt power supply
If you have an extra power supply sitting around I would try that. The other option might be memory. If you have 2 sticks of memory, I would remove one, see if you still have the problem. If you still do, swap with the other. When It comes to the computer restarting itself, I hear that the two main problems are either the power supply or memory.
