Personally I use the built in part of IE... but I've heard nothing but good things about cuteFTP.... you might want to look into it....

I have used CuteFTP and have had no problems with it.

IE6 works as good for me as cute. I think FTP performance has more to do with firewall or proxy settings than the actual program you use.

I have never used anything but cute for uploading web pages, but use IE for general file transfer.
