Hi Everyone!

I've just got a new JNC case with front panel audio. I thought it wasn't working but have now found that it is, only VERY quietly.

I have obviously turned all Playback volumes level to max but still no joy. If I plug my hifi into the back of the case I get loud sound, but if I move it to the front panel I have to turn the hifi to max volume to hear anything...and even then its quiet!

With a headset the frontpanel is too quiet to be heard, even at max volume.

One of you clever people are bound to have me hang my head in shame on this one!

:hanged:

Any ideas?

Hi Speedo, yep the computer is one I built myself.

I connected the Front panel onto the MB as follows:

MIC In --> Mic PWR
L In --> BLine Out L
L Out --> Line Out L
GND --> AGND

Mic In --> -
R In --> BLine Out R
R Out --> Line Out R
GND --> -

I assumed all the connections were ok as the sound is working...its just VERY quiet.

Are these connections ok?

I just saw something that I didn't comprehend before.........:rolleyes:

If you can hook up your stereo to the back and it works why would you want to hook it up in the front of the case?

Agreed that sounds very odd!

It was part of a test. I was getting very quiet sound when I used a headset from the front panel. I unplugged the hifi and tested it at the front to see if it was a dead headset...but alas the hifi got the same... you really must have thought I'd lost my mind plugging the hifi in the front :D
