from 80GB to 10MB

I got a Seagate 80GB hard drive that is now registering as 10MB and lost all my files.

The first problem was, I can't boot up to Windows, so what I did to isolate the problem is to check my HD on another PC since I thought I deleted a system file. The dummy PC didn't boot either. I tried running the WinXP repair utility but it just keeps on bringing me to DOS. and when I try to browse my files on DOS, it says it can't find any files. (I forgot the real error)

What I tried to do is to do a Fixboot, because I still want to retireve my files. but what happend was I lost all my files, and my Hardrive now registers as 10MB FAT, from 80GB NTFS.

Would REformatting my Hardrive resolve the issue? or has this something to do with a kind of virus? or I made a wrong move when I tried to do a Fixboot on DOS? :sayno:
