I formatted my computer and now I can not get it to boot up from the floppy. It says something about not supporting a cd rom that there is an error on line 12. I am not that knowledgable about computers but this sounded very easy and now it is very frustrating. Please help?! nashes

Hello and Welcome to Tech Support Forums nashes4

Sounds like your bios is set to boot from CD-Rom first.

Try putting the CD in the Drive and booting to the CD.

If that is a nogo then change the boot sequence to boot from floppy first.
Then try booting from the start up floppy.

I'll be back.

it sounds to me like your boot disk may not have the correct drivers for your cd rom
if you have access to another puter
go to www.bootdisk.com and find a bootdisk with cd rom drivers on it
and make a bootdisk for your puter with universal cd rom drivers

it is always a good idea to test your boot disk before you format
good luck

They also may be trying to boot with a Win. 95 boot disk.

What OS are you going to use on this machine?

Another option is this site just click on boot disks on the top left of the page.
