I am using, from the Samsung family , a smart 65" Smart TV as well as some old model Smart phones,..S5,..

Receiving messages and e-mail every 2-3 months and now Aug 15, 2025 is a dead line for all data to be deleted,....from Samsung Cloud,.. What is this and what they are talking about ?

Is this a scam ? what they are talking about, and How to stop the data deletion,...
Where and whom to contact,..... Google has also many articles but all confusing ones,.. what is the fact, while Aug 15, 2025 is approaching,...

Any insight, pl. Thx.

Login to your Samsung Cloud account.

Move any files you want to keep to your computer or another device like a USB HDD.

^ But where, how,.. ? I do not even remember I ever opened that account,... Don't know any screen / password or so,.. I may try with the same e-mail where they have sent me notice, but what would be the password ?

.
I just logged in with the same e-mail I had received the notice,.. but It seemed like I just opened a brand new account, the problem they are talking perhaps remains as it is, I guess,..

Just opened two diff. accounts , for e-mails, which I guess my Samsung Smart TV is having in its base,....

But , no where the Cloud page showing alreday connected devices,
so they are the brand new just opened accounts basically,...

.

2nd e-mail, that I may be have had used with my S5 smart phone and / or Samsung smart TV,..
.
.

( What I am deadly worried is,.. that in no case, they should delete on my Smart TV, all APPS and complete set up, also my S5 phone,...as if one formats his PC or in my case Smart TV )

in the first picture you have in post #1 it shows a gmail email address.
That is the email address you need to use to log in with on the Samsung Cloud

My samsung devices, at some point initially when setting up, asked for my email address for setting up etc. It used it in conjunction with its own database and cloud, which I have never knowingly used.
I do not have any Smart TVs.
I have never recieved any of these messages you show. You may have inadvertently allowed some backup mechanism to back up your phone or TV data to their cloud, and it is that data they are going to delete or they want you to connect with their cloud in the hope of getting you to use it more often.

I occasionally see similar messages with a free dropbox account I have and also my own mobile phone service provider.

The idea, like mobile phones trying to get you hooked on making calls by giving you free credits, is to get you to use their services then when you have run out of cloud space hit you with upgrade possibilities and FEES for using the service. Its Marketing hype. It's getting users addicted to a service they don't usially use in the hope of getting more revenue from that customer.

I think , I solved it,... There's nothing data deletion or any backup to be lose, in my case. As there is not backed up data / devices for any of my devices like Samsung Galaxy S5 phone, which I used long ago,... nor, for my Samsung 55" QLED 4K TV is not backed up there either .

I called samsung - 1-800-726-7864, they gave me cloud and media related phone no. 855-795-0509 and I setup / found my account ( via e-mail - I may had my cell phone built on that 8+ yrs ago,....) with again re setted-up password using their web sites,...
smartthingsfind.samsung.com
and later,..
account.samsung.com

No backed up data / devices or no nothing is there to lose,... but I at least activated the account by signing in, as I never did in last 1-2 years. She assured me, there is nthg data deletion threat or any important to lose.
