If you have a legit copy, the key should work fine. Make sure '8' isn't the letter 'B'. When entering the key make sure it matches the one of the CD. If it still doesn't work, try contacting the manufacturer.

In addition to Zealex's solution, try some of these suggestions and see if they work. There is some common sense stuff in there, but there maybe a few that you haven't thought of trying.

As the Founder of an FSX Flight Sim Community, I totaly agree with Zealex and LtCarman's suggestions.

One thing I would like to add...

When you install the game, stick the disk in, the when the window pops up asking what you'd like to do, click the "Browse Files". When that window comes up go down to "Setup" and right click it, this time choose "Run as Administrator". This game is HUGE!, and requires a lot of resouces that Windows sometimes can't handle. They planned on releasing fixes for it in the future, but after Bill Gates left the company, MicroSquish Axed the ACES Team, the people that have programmed MS FS for the last 35 years.... So updates and fixes were never completed! :dead:
