Hello, I have a Toshiba m305 with a video problem. There's a flickering line across the task bar, sometimes showing what would be at the top of the screen. Not sure if it's a bad LCD or cable and am wondering how I can figure out what exactly is broke. Is there a way to test the LCD on the Toshiba using another laptop or vise versa?

Have you checked the graphics cable to make sure seated properly?

Most likely a failing LCD.

If you happen to have another compatible screen you can use it to test.

Do you know how to check if a screen is compatible? I have a Dell D610 sitting around.

The Dell and Toshiba screen has two different connections so you wouldn't be able to swap the screens.
