Hi this is my first post. I look forward to helping and being helped. ok my first question...

Do dual boot XP and Vista, do I create a partition for each operating system?? Or simply install XP, and then install Vista to a different directory other than C:\windows ?

Thanks so much.

ok I have read that page, and decided I would rather put each OS on its own partition. My question is, if I do this will I still get a prompt at startup asking which OS I want to start??

page five of the above link answers that question. Yes if you followed the instructions, you should get both options at boot.
