I have a Dell 1100 laptop and just purchased a new camcorder. The info I am getting is I need a firewire connection on my laptop to be able to download video from the camcorder. Will not work with just a USB connection.
Is this possible ? Where do I buy a firewire card if that is what I need ?

If your camcorder has a USB connection, you can use that, but the majority of them just have firewire. Pick one of these to add firewire to your laptop.
