Running Firefox (V19.0.2) on a Windows Vista 32 bit OS Firefox doesn't open PDF files if the PDF file in question opens a new page (or tab) - ie target="_blank" I get a blank page.
I have uninstalled Adobe Reader and intalled NitroReader with the same result? So looks like a Firefox issue.
Using Chrome the PDF's open faultlessly.
Any suggestions?

The experts will no doubt come to your aid on this.
I have the NitroPDF extention v3.0.02 installed.

My Firefox v19.0.2 seems to work when selecting the HTML option.
When it says it cannot convert PDF to HTML, I hit the option message saying "Try viewing with Google" and it works immediately.

The "Open PDF" does not work, it gives a blank page and the "View online" says it is downloading the document, but it goes on for ever.

As the HTML + Google highlight works OK, suits me. Why the other two options do not work, I do not know.

Thanks yabbadoo same result here HTML works which solves immediate problem but I will endeavour to find out why Open PDF doesn't work as it does in Chrome.
Keep following hopefully will get answer from an expert soon.

Hi again,

So we both have the same in FF. I used FF for many years as my browser and for no real reason at all a month ago, I gave Chrome a try. I have never looked back since and now have Chrome as my default browser permanently. I like it.

Chrome has done everything I want with no hiccups and PDF opens like a rocket every time. I will not be going back to FF. I keep FF updated and dusted, but it is now just a reserve.
