Open Firefox. Press Alt+O >Advanced>Network>Connection- settings> choose Direct connection to the internet.
Close it and restart FF to see how it goes.

fire fox keeps trying to dial dead internet conntion
every time i try and use firefox it says page cant be displayed and trys to connet to my old dial-up account.(i now have dsl.).:upset:
