FIOS Actiontec Router MI424-WR httpp port forwarding

Since Verizon blocks incoming http traffic on port 80, I want to route incoming http on port 8589 to an internal ip address of 192.168.1.x I have tried to figure it out and I can't seem to get it to work. Actiontec support will not help because it would be 'violating' Verizon agreements, etc. blah blah....anyway, got another tech supprt person on the phone and they said that I needed to create a DMZ.....sorry, don't want to do that. I did it once and my web-server got hacked too many times. I just want a simple forward......thanks in advance for help.
