Looking for a solution to my dilema. :4-dontkno

I am needing to transfer some large files (too big for blank CD) from my Work Laptop (laptop) to my Home PC (desktop).

The Laptop is running XP Pro while the desktop runs XP Home. My laptop is hard wired to my router which is a Linksys WRT54G, while the laptop has a wireless connection to the same router.

As the laptop is my business computer, it is already setup as a member of my companies Domain and Workgroup.

Well, you'll need to setup an alternate nework configuration.

CP, Network Connections, Local Area Connection, Properties, TCP/IP Properties, Alternate Configuration.

But do i not need to add in a Work Group?

Change the XP-Home machine to have a workgroup name that matches the work computer.
