Hi

I have an old PC that will not turn on. If I power my new PC up and take the hard drive out of my old one is it easy to connect to the IDE cable to take the files off the old drive onto the new drive?

Thanks

Yes it is, if you have IDE in your new one, you will just have to make sure the jumpers are correct for whatever IDE cable you attach it to with another device on board. DO NOT connect the drive while the system is powered, if you connect the power connector hot, you can blow the drive if incorrect.
