what is the extension .cue for? i know it's got something to do with cd burning.

and what software reconizes it?

I use Nero... i have the bin file for the cd, but what do i do with the .cue file?

The CUE file describes the image for the CD burning program. It's a plain ASCII file, open it in NOTEPAD and take a look at it, it's pretty simple.
