I receive an e-mail excel spreadsheet and then make corrections. I than return the spreadsheet by saving it to my desktop and then attaching it to a return e-mail. The receiver receives the e-mail and tries to open the attachment. Excel opens but an error message appears "file cannot be accessed. The file may be read only, or may be trying to access read only location. Or, the server the documents is stored on may not responding"
I am using winXP.. I have e-mailed it to myself and I receive the same massage. The mail server is netscape or optimon. Same thing happens.

Save the spreadsheet from the email as a file, then open the file. Don't try to edit the spreadsheet after opening it directly from the email.
