I was runing very smoothly until yesterday when i tried to boot ma pc and it simply refused- no bios.
i then chose to use the flolppy drive that only worked for a while, when i tried to format the "windows me" partition it did not suport the format so i chose to use the cd rom as ma first boot device then what followed is that ,there is no boot record on the cd rom drive ,am using win2k pro.As an install

The real trouble is that now i cannot access the bios to go back to the floppy dive and possibly boot. And that is what to is more than a tumor in the brain
just help out gebts

Do you get any fans spinning or lights?

Unplug the machine and take the cover off.

If it's dusty in there get a can of compressed air and blow it out.

Then remove and reseat your video card and your memory.

Before you put the cover on try turning it on and carefully check the CPU with your fingers to see if it gets warm. If there is a fan on the CPU don't remove it to do this just get your fingers down by the bottom of the heatsink and see if it is warm.............:D

What make and model is this computer and how old is it?
