Favicon woes

I have made a favicon following the excellent instuctions and advice from http://www.favicon.co.uk/index.php but sadly it does not work. I have saved the favicon.ico in the same folder as the page and entered the following code within the head;

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://beccleschristmas.uk/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
<link rel="icon" href="http://www.beccleschristmas.co.uk/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />

Any ideas?
