Not sure if this is the right place. Since I installed my new motherboard, when I put the computer on standby, the hard drives shut off, but the fans keep running. I can't figure it out.

It is because the CPU is actually still running in standby. This varies with motherboards, and you will notice that things like USB ports will still give power in standby.

If it is bothering you, you should get a fan controler, which can be used to switch off the fans from a 5.25" drive bay panel.

Ok, I see. I read that if you have a USB keyboard or mouse to uncheck the "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" box in the hardware propertied. That didn't help for me. I guess it's not a big deal, I can live with it.
