hey....
i got a new 120mm led fan,connected it to my motherboard but it runs only on 1080rpm max.
i used speedfan 4.40 to increase the fan speed but it dosen't help........
what should be done to increase the rpm?????
i see it running very slow........and the fans that r already installed are preety fast than this 1 bcuz they r directly connected to th PSU.......
an the new fan that i got has a three pin female socket which goes on d motherboard.....
motherboard-asus m3a78-em
500wats psu
HELP.

You can get adapters to convert 2 pin or 3 pin connectors to standard molex. Aside from that, what are the fan specs? Not all fans run at high speed.

120MM fans turn slower than 80MM. What header on the Mobo did you connect it to?
Brand & Model Number of the fan?

The only way to know is to check the temps. Whether the fan is running at 600 RPM's or 10,000 RPM's doesn't mean the hardware is cool.
