Help! My Dell Inspiron 1545 factory loaded with Windows XP Professional is now so hopelessly messed up after a bootup problem, I want to do a clean reinstall of the software. I get to the licensing agreement and try to agree by pressing the F8 key and get nothing. I can ESC and I can page up and down through the agreement, but the F8 key does not seem to be functioning. Someone suggested the function key may be locked? But, if so I don't know how to fix that.
F8 won't work for licensing agreement

Hold down the FN key while pressing F8 or look for an FLk (F Lock) key to unlock the Functions keys.
