Good Morning Every Body !

I just upgrade my computer with a P67a-g45 (integrated sound card ALC892). so I tried tow version of realtek drivers (an old and the last one), and my speakers work fine but, the microphone volume is strangely extremly low, I need to scream ...
I need to put the amplificator at +30db and the microphone volume at 100% but I have a big background noise with a bad voice.

I assume you're using the Win-7 x64, as under your avatar?

Right-click on the speaker-icon in the System-Tray and select 'Recording devices', then on the box that appears select the microphone and click 'Properties'. On the next box, select the 'Custom' tag and tick the 'Microphone +20db boost' box, then OK everything back to the desktop.

Hopefully, you shouldn't need to scream so loud now :grin:

ok but i put it (+30bd) on the amplificator in realtek software and i have a big background noise... it isn't the same option between windows and realtek soft ?

Have you tried the mic on a different PC, or another mic on this one?

To be honest, I'm not sure about Realtek-drivers, I've never used them - There might well be a well-buried setting/tick-box, somewhere in the recording section though.
